Day 2 Chennai - Mahabalipuram (60 kms /1 hr)
Post breakfast proceed for Mahabalipuram by surface. On arrival, check in at hotel.
Afternoon sightseeing of Mahabalipuram - famous for the Seven Pagodas. Here, on the seashore is an interesting group of ancient rock hewn temples.
Overnight stay in Hotel - Mahabalipuram.
Day 3 Mahabalipuram
Visit Kanchipuram, ancient capital of the Pallavas famous as a city of 1000 temples that still has 124 shrines. Kanchipuram is also famous for silk. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 4 Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry (110 kms / 2.5 hrs)
Morning drive to Pondicherry.
Enjoy Rickshaw ride through the quiet and serene city. Visit Auroville.

Day 5 Pondicherry - Tanjore (180 kms / 4 hrs)
Morning drive to Tanjore also known as Thanjavur (The rice bowl of Tamil Nadu).
Visit the famous Chola Temple of Brihadeeshwara - a world heritage monument.
Overnight stay in Hotel - Tanjore.
Day 6 Tanjore - Trichy (60 kms/ 1.5 hrs
Drive to Trichy. Visit the ancient temples dedicated to Lord Ganapathi, 434 steps cut out into the rock side and interspersed with shrines, lead to the temple.
Visit Srirangam, a massive temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu sprawled on a Island in Cauvery River which contains within its walls a Bazaar (traditional market of India) as well.

Day 7 Trichy - Madurai (140 kms / 3 hrs)
Post breakfast drive to Madurai, en-route visit Karaikudi (Chettinad). On arrival, transfer to hotel and relax.

Day 8 Madurai
Today visit the famous Madurai Meenakshi Temple (dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering Gopurams). The total number of pillars in the temple is a staggering One Thousand.

Day 9 Madurai – Thekkady (150 kms / 03 hrs)
Today we proceed for Periyar Wildlife Reserve. Set on an attractive lakeside, it is South India's most popular Wildlife Sanctuary.
Periyar is a place to cruise on the lake & gives an opportunity to see wildlife. It is home to Tigers, Leopards, Elephants, Bison, Antelopes, Sambhar, Wild Boar, Monkey, a wide variety of Birds.

Day 10 Thekkady – Allepey (145 kms / 04 hrs)
Day 11 Arrive Alleppy - Kovalam (185 kms. -Approx. 4 hrs.)
Drive to Kovalam, en route visit Trivandrum, the Padmanabha Swami Temple, Napier Museum, Sri Chitra Art Gallery, also visit the beautiful Horsu Palace.
Resume your drive, reach Kovalam. Day at leisure to indulge in Ayurveda/ Beach activities.

Day 13 Kovalam – Trivandrum (17 kms - 30 Minutes)
